Dancing Goats and Singing Sheep is a book where coffee and Jesus meet. It was a fun process of writing, and it is a good read! Beginning with the journey of coffee, and ending with the hope of Jesus. Would you ever have guessed that Jesus and coffee had anything in common?
"I've always had a dream of being an author. But as I grew, I began to live in survival mode, only seeing what I was in the middle of. I kept my eyes down, not seeing what God could do for me, how He could transform me. As I look back now, I can see His footsteps. I can see how and where He directed me as I stumbled along blindly. When I asked Crystal if she wanted to write a book with me, I wasn't seeing more than my dream of being an author. But God was seeing not only my small dream, but other aspects of my life associated with the book writing process. I had to trust God for my dreams, but I also had to trust Crystal. Its not that God or Crystal were untrustworthy; it was that I learned NOT to trust for most of my life.
During the writing of this book, I had to learn how to listen to God, and how to apply His Truth to my life. I had to learn to SEE myself the way God SEES me. And then I had to learn to SPEAK God's truth to myself.
When we see ourselves through the standards of the world, it is difficult to see beyond that. God, however, sees so much more than we can ever hope to see in the light. We have to trust that He knows what He is doing. If we don't trust His Eyes, we won't go anywhere. If we don't trust His Truth, we won't be transformed."-Leah Potter
